UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Appaz has chosen one of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals that we would like to support because it makes sense to us.

We have chosen to focus on Goal 5: Gender Equality - achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. This includes Subgoal 5.1: End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.

Below are Appaz's considerations on how we can support the goal. These initiatives do not reflect everything actively being done yet, but the suggestions are listed here in case they could be the basis for collaborations that could bring them to fruition.

• Support women, as well as other gender minorities, in the esports world through sponsorships and collaborations.
• Support Danish LAN parties with a focus on creating communities for gamers who are women or other gender minorities.
• Break down stigmas about how gamers and their accessories should look by diversifying and normalizing different expressions.
• Support activism that focuses on improving the linguistic tone among gamers and stopping discrimination in the gaming world.
